Rangestones (red ones) can be spent only when challenging other bards or soothing creatures. So after 25 minutes further playthrough is irellevant I' am afraid. No wonder you crushed AI in previous games with such a cheat))

I really don't understand the appeal of a "roguelike" with a board game. I don't even care for them much with video games, but at least with a video game, it's as simple clicking start new game and I'm playing again. Having to tear down a game and set it back up again to do another run is a chore and doesn't fit well in the realm of board games. Co-Op could give this game some value though.

I started playing with the Arno 3 update, and it's even better. It's made me (as a predominantly solo gamer) go from 'meh, I feel I may have wasted my money' to 'omg, this game is great." So thanks to both you and the Brother Murph for introducing me to this variant! Hopefully, any future releases will make this the default, as the base solo game is a little underwhelming.

This looked so amazing and different that anything else on the market. It was actually pretty intense. The really huge flaw, at least for me, is that i did not understand the dice or the cubes. I listened to your explanations and watched the whole vid and still did not get it. It seems to be one of the most baffling set of mechanics I've seen. But that Silent Hill type story...so fascinating...

Hi, keep up with your good work! However, shouldn't you use the peril and objective card that matches with the monster's level? The monster is level 1. However, you use the peril card and objective card of level 3.

Well I remember watching your other red rains playthrough and being intrigued already. I ended up on plaid hat store and realized i could get a core box, the first 3 red rains boxes, the 3 deluxe expansions with new dice type and 3 extra phoenixborn for £150 shipped... Seemed like too good of a deal to pass 😅

I believe 26:29 if there is a victim and a final girl in the same space, the victim always gets attacked first UNLESS a card (event cards i think) says you carry over the damage You dont have to listen to this but i think its thematic and a bit easier on you sometimes

I was intrigued by this game. And then you said a playthrough can take 5+ hours and that's just a hard pass for me. Once a game gets past 3 hours for a solo play it's just hard for me to get behind.

Again, an awesome looking game that seems to be really fun and a game I hadn't heard of yet. Glad to see the Kickstarter launching next week, I'll be checking this one out for sure! Hopefully with cool looking playmat and acryllic tokens as upgrades to the cardboard ones. Fingers crossed! Thank you for sharing this one.
